After the initial excitement over the relationship between Catherine Tate and Jason Orange back in October, nothing much has been heard of the couple since.
They have been pictured and spotted together on some occasion, but never seemed to smile much. On the net rumours were rife that Jason was not really committed to the relationship. There were unconfirmed stories that even before the Tate relationship went public Jason had taken a girl home from a pub he visited. Then another girl cheerfully Tweeted about her hot night with Orange last month. Non of these stories were confirmed, or even picked up by the media, so we shall assume that they were just not true.
Still, it is strange that nothing has been heard from the couple for a long time.
They were supposed to be taking a road trip during the Christmas season to test their relationship, but apparently they never went.
Instead Jason was seen enjoying drinks with some sexy ladies in Thailand, while Catherine stayed at home.
You’d expect that, as it was seen as such a high profile relationship, the media would be lining up in droves to discuss what is going on.
No, not really. The only reports were a tiny bite at the bottom of a Daily Mirror column and a strange article on page 34 in Heat magazine that apparently said the couple had split.
Nothing more was made of it. Non of the papers, whom announced the relationship on the front page when it began, mentioned it. This makes you wonder: did this relationship ever exist in the first place? Neither of the two people involved ever spoke off or acknowledged it. The comics that had worked on the Take That / Fake That video for Comic Relief were all surprised by the news and knew nothing. The only people to ever say the pair were dating was the media. Maybe they were only good friends and is that all there is to it. Hopefully neither of them are “bothered”.
