Craig Charles celebrates birthday by taking over Graham Norton

CJkMmU8WgAAoSjUA nice birthday treat for Red Dwarf and Coronation Street star Craig Charles tomorrow. The actor and DJ will be taking over Graham Norton’s Saturday afternoon spot this summer.
Starting tomorrow at 10am on BBC Radio 2 Craig will treat us to 10 weeks of a funkier then usual Saturday afternoon.
When asked if he’s nervous about it Craig laughed:
‘Not really. It’s just playing music and talking rubbish. I’m yer man!’
No reason for him to be nervous he has been great hosting Craig Charles’ Funk and Soul on 6 Music for years and was the host of various other radio shows over the years.

For his first show Craig’s special guests are Scottish singers The Proclaimers (I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)) whom have just released new album Let’s Hear It For The Dogs.

He also plays host to Coronation Street co-star Kym Marsh on the show.
